Some Fun with Color and Monochrome

While I love vivid color and great contrast, as do most of my clients, I also love to play around with color and monochrome in my photography. Editing digitally allows me to have way too much fun figuring out exactly what color tones, hues, and shadow play I want in my photographs. The last week or so, I've been playing around with various monochrome and Polaroid looks in my photos. Here are a few examples. What do you think? :)

Big Eyes and "Silly Kisses!"

Sunday, April 10th, I had not one, but TWO photoshoots scheduled! The first photoshoot was with a childhood friend of my boyfriend's, the lovely miss Cindy Romero. With my boyfriend Tim acting as assistant, the three of us had fun trekking through the back roads of Chino Hills as well as exploring parks and outdoor shopping malls during our session. I LOVED photographing Cindy because she has gorgeous, big eyes that catch and reflect light! Some of my favorite photos of Cindy are posted below.

Later that day, I had the privilege of doing a family/maternity photoshoot with the Melashenko family at Prospect Park. I have known Tiffany (the momma) since I was a little kid, but we had been out of touch for several years. It was so great so see her and meet her beautiful family! Tiffany and Jay are expecting their third little boy any day! The fourth photo down is probably my favorite. The boys, Jayden and Colben, are giving "silly kisses" (aka blowing raspberries) on their mommy's tummy for their little brother! I'm so grateful that Tiff and Jay allowed me to photograph their growing family! :) Below are a few of my favorite shots of the Melashenkos. Maternity Photoshoot with the Halls!

Last Friday, I had the immense pleasure and honor of photographing my FIRST maternity session! I met Yvonne (Vonnie) and Jon through my bestie, Corinne, a few months ago. Apparently, quite a few people think Vonnie and I are either the same person or twin sisters. Haha! The last few months, however, Vonnie's "baby bump" certainly has helped people tell us apart.
Vonnie and Jon are expecting their first little one by May 1st. Little Arianna Moriah is VERY loved and her arrival is highly anticipated by her parents. It was such a blessing to take photos of Jon and Vonnie as it is so obvious how much they love each other and their little one on the way! Below are a few of my favorite photos of them.
